Hello friends, happy Monday!💜👩🏼‍🍳I’ve got some very fun things planned for us this week, including a LIVE sauerkraut making workshop Wednesday on Grow! I’ve been perfecting my red cabbage version with tons of ginger and warming spices (I made a batch for @gwynethpaltrow and she’s obsessed!💜). If you’ve never made a ferment before, my class is a great place to start, and I will hold your hand through the entire process. 🫚 New on Grow: TCM Ginger Tea🧣 I swear by this ginger tea to keep sickness at bay in the winter months! My doctor shared this technique with me a few years ago, after he found out I was making ginger tea by pouring boiling water over sliced ginger, which is still *good*, but if you really want to reap the benefits of ginger, try this method instead. Ginger, known as Sheng Jiang in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), is considered a warm herb with versatile medicinal properties. Ginger helps treat the early stages of colds and flu by expelling wind and cold from the body, promoting circulation, inducing sweating, warming the lungs, and clearing phlegm.Drink this when you’re starting to the feel the onset of chills, body aches, or a sore throat. Make a double batch to have on hand for a few days if you like - simply warm up the amount you’d like on the stove.
